TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:

June 12: (Friday evening)
Arrival for out-of-towners who will be staying at Camp Antioch. (If you live in town, please ask about accomodations. The camp sleeps about 40 people, so it's likely that there will be room for any local who wishes to stay as well. Campers are welcome but there are no hookups.)
June 13: (Saturday all day)
1pm: "Dinner on the Ground" - bring a side dish and a dessert! And TEA! Lots of TEA! Activities for the day to include recreation for the kids, softball and/or football for the teens, visiting cemeteries and other nearby places of interest....fellowshipping...lots of fellowshipping! Saturday night - lots of music, including Karaoke (tentative)
June 14: Sunday 'til early evening. For those who choose to stay over and enjoy the reunion to its fullest. We will either have a church service at Camp Antioch, or walk across the street and worship with the folks at Antioch Baptist, where our ancestors attended 'back in the day.' 3-5 - CLEAN UP & depart.
COST - $50 PER FAMILY.
COVERS THE RENTAL COST FOR THE FACILITY, PLUS ANY MEALS. The only thing you need to bring is the side dish/desserts/tea for the "Dinner on the Ground." We will be talking to everyone about what side dish to bring, once we know for sure who will be coming and get a head count.
We've tried HARD to make it affordable for everyone who wants to come. We saved a ton by switching from the conference center in Toccoa to Camp Antioch, and we are thankful that the camp was still available for the weekend we needed and that we were able to secure it for MUCH LESS than Toccoa. A big "plus" is that it is the old 'stomping grounds' of our ancestors...so it holds special meaning for the Davis Family.
Our GOAL is to make sure ALL COSTS are covered, and that we purchase enough FOOD, toiletry supplies, dinnerware, drinks, ice and other miscellaneous items so that we don't run short. This is why we are pushing for an accurate HEAD COUNT and for what meals you will be taking with us.
Please help us with this by making a prompt payment (see below). If you can "donate" over and above the fee, we won't turn that down either. For sure, we don't want ANYONE to feel like they cannot come because of the money, so please don't let that keep you from coming. It will all work out! Remember, it's approximately 50 days until the reunion. If you can put aside $1 a day for your family, that will cover it! If it turns out we have more than needed, we will either donate the balance back to the camp, or perhaps put it away for the next event. Of course, we are open to any ideas you may have about this, so please let us know. Even if you cannot attend, if you would like to contribute to the cause...that would be appreciated. There will be a lot of photos taken, and we'll post them online (with a password) so that you can at least enjoy the flavor of the Reunion.

NOTE ABOUT SLEEPING AT THE CAMP: The bunks at the camp are filling up fast. So if you are coming to Cedartown from out of town, and need to stay at Camp Antioch, please let me know so we can reserve you a bed. If you're driving on Saturday and Sunday, that's fine. And don't forget, campers are welcome, although there are no hookups.
